Banaue - Sagada Adventure with ClubTravelNow Highlights

Masarap kumain after ng trekking. At yun nga ang ginawa namin. ^^
Mowdel

Masarap yung sinigang nila, infairness.

Breakfast at Lemon Pie House
Lunch palang the previous day, umorder na kami ng breakfast at Lemon Pie House (ulit) para ready to serve na sia kinabukasan. We need to head out early kasi we'll be visiting Bomod-ok falls.

So here's what I ate:
Cheese omelet (as in cheese and egg lang. Fried rice. Longanisa. Php 100
After breakfast, we rode a jeepney to Bomod-ok's jump off, where we met our two guides.

[series break] February plans

Ma: Oh, may pupuntahan ka na naman?
Me: (looks up from laptop) Huh?
Ma: Eh para ka na namang kinikilig. Ganda ng ngiti mo eh.
Me: :> Haha. (Kilala talaga ako ng nanay ko. XD)

Actually, I was browsing blogs for Butanding interaction. I soooo want to go. So I decided, what the heck, I'll go at the end of Feb. The blogs say that's the best time to go. Who wants to go with me? I'm planning to ride PNR to Naga again. I'd still go even if nobody is going with me.

And I might see the fireflies too. Yay.

Lets?!

Banaue - Sagada Adventure with ClubTravelNow Highlights

Spelunking.
Fancy term for caving. Ice cold tubig.

Eh ba't ginagawa pa eh mukang mahirap naman?

Kasi ang magandang tanawin, mas lalong maganda pag mahirap marating. Oha.

Banaue - Sagada Adventure with ClubTravelNow Highlights

...and finally, Sagada!

Napakalamig. Karamihan ng establishments, may 'haus/house' sa dulo yung pangalan. i.e Sagada Lemon Pie House. Yoghurt House. Tsaka exercise galore mamasyal, madaming paakyat-baba. :D

So sa Kanip-aw kami magsistay. :D

Mt. Polis stop-over

Dun daw yung highest  point of elevation sa road. :D Funny yung Polis Station =)))
Ang mga gulay sa Mt. Polis.

Banaue Rice Terraces
It's awesome because:
1) More than 2000 years old na siya
2) Ginawa sia nang with halos walang equipment. A for Effort!
3) It's simply beautiful. <3

May dalawang viewpoints  kaming pinuntahan. Parehong maganda ang view. :D

Number 1

Banaue - Sagada Adventure with ClubTravelNow Highlights

Wala akong masishare masyado about fares and fees  dahil packaged tour 'to, organized by Club Travel Now!

So eto:
galing Ortigas, nag MRT ako papuntang Taft Station. Akala ko kasi LRT1 ang Legarda Stn. LRT2 pala. So yun nag LRT1 ako hanggang Doroteo Jose, tas lakad papuntang Recto Stn tas sakay ng LRT2 papuntang Legarda. Sa baba nung station, may mga pedicab. Php 20 pamasahe pag may kasama. Php 40 pag wala. Siyempre naghanap ako ng kasama.

My Kind of Fun

Twenty or thirty years from now I won't be able to carry a 15k backpack as comfortably as I can today. That would take half the fun away from traveling. Maybe I can still trek and climb mountains and walk the length of a long beach, but I bet my knees would complain endlessly, and then I'd only be able to do one of those once a month; spending the rest of the days waiting for the pain to subside.  I might still be able to stare at the stars and wonder at the moon, and solve puzzles in the clouds, but the years would dim my eyes and dull the colors I could perceive.
And so I do my kind of fun now. There would be time enough to be the kind of person the world wants me to be, and that would be when my body can no longer keep up with the kind of person I want to be.

Calaguas Adventure 3: Paradise Untouched

The human spirit needs places where nature has not been rearranged by the hand of man.
~Author Unknown
This is Calaguas. This is why we braved the more than 16 hours of butt numbing trips, the fear of rough waves and the uncertainty of the weather. And this why, despite everything that's been mentioned in the previous sentence, we are coming back:

Hahaha. redefining freshness). Na-entertain naman kami. Haha.

Malamig yung pauwi, kasi nga umuulan, at basa kami. Wala kasing mga raincoat. Kina kuya Nelson na kami nagbihis. Pinagkape pa kami ng Nanay.

Tapos nun, balik na kami ng Naga.

Additional Notes:
1. Mas maganda magvan, kasi mas mabilis. Php188 yung pamasahe from Naga to Daet.
2. Dala kau sleeping bag o kahit anong pang-kumot.
3. Dala kau snorkeling gear.
4. May CR at tubig, walang kuryente.
5. Andami pang pwedeng iexplore!

Pano kami napunta ng Calaguas.
Kwento ng plano.

Calaguas Adventure 2: The Joy is in the Journey

And if you take along somebody you love, then that journey is going to be all the more enjoyable.

Matthew Buckley, Chickens in the Headlights:
The PNR Bicol Express
Yay!

Calaguas Adventure 1 : Panic Planning

"At every given moment we are absolutely perfect for what is required for our journey. "
- Steve Maraboli, Life, the Truth, and Being Free
Last year ko pa gustong-gustong-gustong sumakay sa PNR Bicol Express Sleeper train. :P

The Planning Stage
Haha.

3 days before the trip, ipinasa ko kay Aria ang pagkontak sa PNR. At ang galing, nakapagpareserve siya ng tickets! Yehey!
